In this post, we look at the challenges of overcoming obstacles. The goal is to inspire us to live a quality life.

When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal; you do not change your decision to get there”. – Zig Ziglar

There are few determining factors to overcoming obstacles.

First overachievers have committed themselves to whatever is they are doing. They are “all in” for as long as it takes. Commitment prepares you to meet obstacles and downfalls. In anything you do. No matter who you are or what you do.

There will always be tough times.

If you make a commitment to do something. And disaster strikes or things don’t go your way. There is a problem. An overachiever thinks, “How do I solve the problem?

If you’re not committed or an underachiever your first thoughts are “How do I get out of this?

If you look hard enough you will find what you are looking for: an excuse to quit.

You don’t want this happen to you in your life.

Whether it’s in a marriage, completing your education or running a successful business. Along the way, there will be setbacks, reversal, and disappointments. If you made the commitment, you continue on no matter what.

If you made the commitment, you continue on no matter what.

Overachievers are prepared for overcoming obstacles. They prepare for setbacks. Reversals. Disappointments.

Overachievers expect to win. They prepare to win. And they take the necessary steps to win.

Commitment combined with persistence and the unshakeable belief that they will win is what separates overachievers from underachievers.

Overachievers are humble people. They know “no man is an island” and no one wins alone. An overachiever knows they can’t win by themselves.

Faith plays an important role in winning. The qualities of humility, commitment, persistence, and most importantly, character.

Character is the ability to carry out a good resolution long after the excitement of the moment has passed. A character is what allows an overachiever to win. Always “hanging in there” when times are tough. Never giving up. That’s what overachievers do.

They never give up.
